Our conversation in this episode is with Stephen Lawrence who was born in the late 60’s in South Africa. He is a former AFL player for Hawthorn as a ruckman, a key forward and as a key backman. In 1988 he ked 5 goals against North Melbourne in his first game. He was a premiership player in 1991 and best player in the finals. He played 146 games over 12 years. He has gone on to run a leadership and consulting business. He is married, has 6 children and grandchildren. He has a deep sense of his Catholic faith. He had a key role in Sydneys World Youth Day and continues to be involved in his faith community in many different ways.
