May 27 Adopting a Contmplative stance
Week 1 – Reflection
Entering winter is an invitation to intentionally lean into silence, welcome the pause, and adopt a contemplative stance.
June 3 Learning to Lie Fallow
Week 2 –
Rest is a verb. Slumber is a verb. Hibernate is a verb. These are all actions – deliberate, conscious actions – to what purpose? There is an inherent energy in fallow times – it is not a waste, a useless meaningless time to be patiently waited out, it has its own dignity and gifts. What happens in the pause?

Letting Go
Week 3 –
Winter is not merely a time of waiting for warmer months – because the warmer months do not come without the cold and dark, such is the rhythm of things. There can be no newness, no freshness, no revitalisation without loss and surrender.
June 17 The graces of stillness
Week 4 –
We know we will in time leave winter behind and enter spring – but we and our world will be changed. The spring of this year will not be the same as the last – similar yes, containing traces of the past yes, but not the same because the year that has passed has left its footprint.
What will be the graces from this time that we take forward?
The Winter Guided Reflection 2026 invites participants into a purposeful season of hibernation—not as something to fear or merely endure, but as a meaningful place and time of becoming. This program honours the seasonal rhythm of winter and encourages a willing entry into its pause. It is an energy that respects rest: a time of darkness and cold where stillness is not resisted, but received as gift.
Winter is offered here as something to be unwrapped slowly and with care—an invitation to discernment. By intentionally slowing down, we tend the quiet work of planting, trusting that what is sown now will come to life in its own time. Spring does not arrive without winter. This program asks participants to notice what is germinating within them, hidden yet alive, waiting for the right season to emerge.
