Audio Divina

(Week 16) An adaption of the Weekly Collect

God who speaks the language of compassion, mercy and grace
Keep watch on those who give voice to care
Find for us lonely places that we learn what those words mean for us.
Teach us at length this day and always.

Audio Divina is a lectio-divina inspired Podcast that features high-quality, meticulously researched reflections provided by world-renowned biblical scholar Rev. Professor Francis J. Moloney SDB AM.  Audio Divina has been running on the Salesian website for some years now. From the First Sunday of Lent TheRightDirt web project will be hosting this podcast, somewhat redesigned. It can be found on Spotify, Apple, and Amazon, as well as here at  TheRightDirt website https://therightdirt.com.au/

Audio-divina is a form of prayer, what you might call “sacred listening.” A good way is to start with a short meditation – follow the text below. Listen with your heart, reflect on what you hear.

The Audio Divina will be posted each Wednesday night Melbourne time.

A beginning meditation:

Take a deep breath and hold it. Feel the air fill your lungs and permeate your body through to the tips of your toes. This breath is the life giving force God gave to the first and the last of us, from Adam to you. Allow God’s breath to fill you up, then let it go. With the outward breath, let go of any doubts and know His peace.

Breathe a second deep breath. This time, as it spreads throughout your being, allow it to shower your heart, mind and body with a knowledge of love. Recall a moment when you knew yourself to be loved or when you knew that you had awakened love in another. Let it warm you, then let it go. The love has been fed.

On the third deep breath, clear your mind of all that is holding you back from being fully alive to the words of the lectio. Be still for a moment, then let it go.
